Christmas in Heaven

This Light Festival was the first to take place at Christmas. Reflecting the festive season, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds were poetically staged and transformed into spaces where people could connect with the special romance of Christmas.

Our ‘Christmas in Heaven’ experience world was full of surprises and magic moments that touched visitors’ hearts. A creative ‘heavenly story’ was staged with interactive light and crystals and the visitors as the protagonists. Sensors and touchscreens were used to activate sparkling light and sound installations, create magical moments and bathe the garden and glittering exhibits in warm and atmospheric light.

Glittering art installations that touched hearts

After walking through heavenly gates bathed in warm light visitors entered the majestic illuminated crystal dome before pausing to enjoy its spectacular display. The Blue Hall featured an interactive light installation that allowed visitors to select Christmas traditions from all over the world and play them on a magical sparkling screen.

Surprising interactive elements

An illuminated harp lit up fairy-tale characters and the crystal cloud, composed of 800,000 suspended crystals, chimed and sparkled to the Sound of Heaven beat. At the tower encrypted Christmas wishes were sent up to heaven on angels’ wings.

The Swarovski Light Festival gave magical moments to more than 80,000 visitors. Every two minutes the tower sent a wish up to heaven on angels’ wings; more than 15,000 Christmas traditions were displayed on the crystal wall; over 17,000 sounds were played under the crystal cloud and more than 1 million notes were played on the light harp.
