When market movements turn into symphonies
For the 25th anniversary of the DWS Investment Conference, we asked a simple question: What does the future of finance sound like? We delivered the answer with a musical experiment at the Alte Oper Frankfurt. Human composers, AI tools, a live orchestra, and digital sounds created a symphonic journey through 25 years of market data. In the end, it became clear: AI may revolutionize the financial world, but true innovation continues to emerge from the interplay with human creativity.

Data Becomes Music – The AI Composition
We translated digital data from 25 years of the MSCI World Index into an analog symphony. Human composers entered into a creative dialogue with AI tools, which analyzed patterns and turning points in the market and transformed them into musical themes. During the live show, the music of live musicians merged with AI-generated sounds into a unique composition. Rising melodies accompanied periods of growth, while dramatic arrangements marked crises – from the dot-com bubble to the tech boom.
The New Alte Oper – Conference as an Experience
After the spectacular opening, the historic opera house transformed into an innovative conference space. Thematic breakout zones, interactive formats, and architectural interventions created spaces for inspiration and exchange. Guests moved freely between panels, keynotes, and networking, between history and the future – and fully in tune with the spirit of the times.
